St. Tropez is one of those places that doesn’t need much explanation—you just get it when you’re there. Last summer, we rented a villa through Bo House, smack in the center of town. No car needed, no schedule to stick to. We all did our own thing, which made it easy to actually enjoy the trip.
Salama, right across from us, became a regular spot. Moroccan food, good music, and always a bit of dancing. It was the kind of place where you let loose! The merguez was probably some of the best I have ever had.
For beach days, we hit up Lou Lou (more lively and lots of people watching) and La Réserve (soothing luxury). Both had their own qualities, but at the end of the day, it was all about relaxing by the water, eating well, and just being.
Le Sénéquier was our go-to for a nightcap—people-watching central, but that’s St. Tropez for you. And Le Marché? Go early. We showed up at 10 AM and were swamped by the crowds. Lesson learned.
St. Tropez is what you make of it, and for me, it was simple but lively: good food, good wine, fantastic energy and a lot of sun."
